Rhizomatous, tufted herb, 0.3-0.8 m high, to 0.5. Fl. blue-purple-white, Jun to Oct. Grey-white sand, clay, gravel, laterite, granite. Plains, hills and upper slopes of valleys, rock outcrops, disturbed areas.
