Spreading shrub, to 1.75 m high, bark rough, grey-brown. Fl. pink/purple/red, Sep to Nov. Yellow, grey or brown loamy sands, dark silty loam, gravel, laterite. Sandplains, hills, upper slopes of valleys, breakaways, ridges, roadsides.
