Mound-like shrub, to 2.5 m high, bark rough, finely striated;phyllodes rigid, grey-green; inflorescences spikes to 30 mm long. Fl. yellow, May to Aug. Red-orange clay, basalt, sandstone. Rocky rises, hilltops and adjacent slopes.
