Shrub, 0.5-2.3 m high, sometimes widely spreading with several stems or branches from the base. Red-orange sandy clay, orange-yellow sandy clay to clayey loam, coarse gravel, banded ironstone, laterite, quartz, basalt. Gently undulating plains, dry creek beds, hillcrests, ridges.
