Erect single-stemmed or bushy & spreading shrub, (0.3-)0.5-2 m high. Fl. yellow, Jul to Oct. Lateritic gravelly soils, sandy soils. Often in low-lying areas & near creeks, low ridges, hillsides, granite outcrops.
