Rhizomatous, perennial, herb or (fern), 0.07-0.2 m high, sterile frond simple, broad, sessile; fertile blade spike-like; vernation not circinnate. Fl. Jan or Mar. Sand, exposed basalt sheets. Damp soil or amongst wet rocks near creeks.
