Erect or ascending annual, herb, 0.1-0.6 m high. Fl. orange-yellow, Jul to Dec or Jan. Red clay to clayey sand, sandy loam, gravel, litter, laterite, sandstone. Sand dunes, interdunal valleys, tops of breakaways & cliffs.
