Erect, ascending or decumbent annual or perennial, herb, stems to 0.4 cm long. Fl. yellow, Dec or Jan to Aug. Sandy soils. Roadverges, creek banks.

Scientific Description

Erect or prostrate,spreading or scrambling, herb. Stems terete, not spiny, hairy; pustules or glands absent. Leaves or phylloclades clearly present, simple, alternate, not continuous with stem, 8-15 mm long, 2-4 mm wide, hairy, with simple hairs, flat with flat margins; margins entire; tubercles absent; pustules or glands absent. Stipules present and persistent to older leaves. Pedicel present, 2-2.4 mm long, hairy. Bracteoles present and persistent. Calyx 5-6.5 mm long, not accrescent, hairy, with simple hairs, ribless; pustules or glands absent. Corolla 6-7 mm long, uniformly coloured, yellow; claws present; standard 5-5.5 mm long, glabrous, not auriculate, wings 3.7-4 mm long, not auriculate, keel 5-6 mm long, beaked, not auriculate, glabrous. Stamens ten; filaments united in an open sheath. Ovary sessile or subsessile, hairy or glandular; style 7 mm long, hairy or glandular towards the base, not bearded, terete. Fruit dehiscent (a pod or follicle), stipitate, not constricted between the seeds, round in cross-section, not beaked. Flowers in January, February, March, April, May, June, July, August and December. Occurs in the Northern Botanical Province, in the Northern Kimberley, Victoria Bonaparte, Central Kimberley and Dampierland IBRA regions.
