Slender, erect perennial, herb or shrub, to 1 m high. Fl. yellow, Mar to Sep. Yellow sand, red loam, black peaty or sandy clay, alluvial soils. Flats, base of hills, edge of vine thickets, river banks, along drains, roadverges.
