Rhizomatous, perennial, herb or (fern), 0.06-0.2 m high, fronds 1-pinnate; pinnae opposite, lower surface with fringed triangular-subulate scales. Fl. Jun to Jul or Sep. Red loam, clayey sand. Rock crevices, rock ledges, amongst sandstone rocks in sheltered vine thickets.
