Erect, much-branched shrub, 0.3-1 m high, inflorescence a corymb of spikes. Fl. cream/white & blue, Sep to Dec or Jan. Lateritic soils, gravel.

Scientific Description

Shrubs, 0.5-1 m high; branchlets hairy. Leaves alternate, 10-65 mm long, 0.3-0.5 mm wide, hairy; lamina terete, entire, incurved or recurved. Inflorescences without leaves, the flowers aggregated into distinct clusters, the clusters stalked, cream or blue, hairy; floral bracts 5-12 mm long, hairy. Perianth 4.5-11 mm long, irregular, glabrous; upper lip 2-4.5 mm long, hairy; lower lip 2-4 mm long, hairy. Nut 2-2.6 mm long. Flowers in January, September, October, November or December. Occurs in the South-west (SW) Botanical Province(s), in the Avon Wheatbelt (AW) or Jarrah Forest (JF) IBRA subregion(s).
