Prostrate, woody shrub (subshrub), 0.02-0.1 m high, largest leaves 23-43 x 5-13 mm, entire or sometimes with 2 lobes near the apex. Fl. yellow, Aug to Dec. Loamy clay or sand. Open mallee shrublands.

Scientific Description

Stems ribbed. Leaves flat, 10-50 mm long, 2-10 mm wide, Indumentum absent (leaves glabrous); margins entire. Bracteoles present, 3-3.5 mm long, glabrous. Pedicel pedicellate, Pedicel length the pedicels 1-3 mm long, glabrous. Calyx lobes present, Calyx length 3-5.5 mm long, glabrous. Corolla yellow, 15-18 mm long, without auricles, not spurred, glabrous on the outside, glabrous on the inside; central lobes 4-6.2 mm long, with wings; outer lobes 9-11 mm long, wing present on both sides and clearly unequal, 0.7-1.3 mm wide on the narrower side, 1-2 mm wide on the broader side. Anthers free. Ovary inferior, not gibbose; style 6-7 mm long, hairy; indusium single, hairy; ovules more than two. Flowers in August, September, October, November and December. Occurs in the Mallee (MAL) and Esperance Plains (ESP) IBRA Region(s), of the South West (SW) Botanical Province.
