Sheaths (including blade) spreading, dull, striate, glabrous, margins not translucent. Apex elongated, glabrous. Dioecious (with separate male and female plants). Male and female inflorescences distinctly dissimilar, posture (male inflorescences only) More or less erect, Culms unbranched below the inflorescence. Male spikelet 5.5-8 mm long. Subtending bract glabrous, Outer bract 5-6 mm long, margins firm and opaque, Apex acuminate to attenuate. Perianth glabrous. 4-5 mm long. Inner bract glabrous, margins firm and opaque, Apex acute. Inner bract 5-5.8 mm long. Filament 3.2-4 mm long. Anther 5-5.8 mm long. Female spikelet NaN (?) mm long. Outer bract NaN (?) mm long. Fruit bilocular (capsule). Flowering Time March or May.
