Upright-spreading, leafless perennial, shrub or herb, to 0.5 m high. Deep-grey sand, dark sandy clay over granite, red-brown gravelly clay, laterite. Flats, midslopes, rocky outcrops, breakaways, crevices, roadverges.
Scientific Description
Stems ribbed. Leaves compressed, 10-35 mm long, 1-4 mm wide, Indumentum absent (leaves glabrous); margins entire. Bracteoles present, 1-1.5 mm long, hairy, with simple hairs. Pedicel pedicellate, Pedicel length the pedicels 3.5-9 mm long, Indumentum present, Hair type with simple hairs. Calyx lobes present, Calyx length 0-0.5 mm long, hairy, with dense, simple hairs. Corolla blue, 7-15 mm long, auriculate, not spurred, hairy on the outside, with dense, simple hairs, glabrous on the inside; central lobes 4-7 mm long, with wings; outer lobes 6-9 mm long, wing present on both sides and clearly unequal, 1 mm wide on the narrower side, 2 mm wide on the broader side. Anthers free. Ovary inferior, gibbous; style 3-3.2 mm long, glabrous; indusium single, glabrous; ovules one or two. Flowers in July, August, September, October and November. Occurs in the Coolgardie (COO) and Mallee (MAL) IBRA Region(s), of the Eremaean (E) and South West (SW) Botanical Province.
