Creeping, prostrate annual, herb, leaves 4-17(-19) mm wide; spikes broadly ovoid, 7-11 mm wide; outer surface of all tepals hairy. Fl. white/pink, Jan or Mar or Jun. Alluvial soils, brown loam over clay, sandstone. By rivers and creeks, in open areas between massive rock outcrops.
