Erect, open shrub, 0.27-0.5 m high. Fl. blue, Aug. Brown sand over limestone or yellow sandy clay. Open shrubland.

Scientific Description

Stems unribbed. Leaves flat, 10-40 mm long, 4-15 mm wide, Indumentum present, with dense, dendritic hairs; margins entire or toothed. Bracteoles present, 2-4 mm long, hairy, with hairy hairs. Pedicel pedicellate, Pedicel length the pedicels 2.5-3 mm long, Indumentum present, Hair type with dendritic hairs. Calyx lobes present, Calyx length 0-0.5 mm long, hairy, with dense, dendritic hairs. Corolla blue, 9-11 mm long, auriculate, not spurred, hairy on the outside, with dense, dendritic hairs, hairy on the inside; central lobes 5-5.3 mm long, with wings; outer lobes 7-7.5 mm long, wings present on both sides, 0.8-2 mm wide. Anthers connate. Ovary inferior, not gibbose; style 3-5 mm long, glabrous; indusium single, glabrous; ovules one or two. Flowers in August. Occurs in the Geraldton Sandplains (GS) and Swan Coastal Plain (SWA) IBRA Region(s), of the South West (SW) Botanical Province. Conservation Code: Conservation code Priority Two (P2).
