Slender to robust, erect perennial, herb, flowers open mostly between 1030 & 1330 hrs but can remain open until 1530 hrs. Fl. yellow, May to Jul. Fine granular to coarse gravelly sands, usually humus rich. Edges of pools & streams, seepage lines in rock crevices.
