Compact, prostrate shrub, to 0.5 m high. Fl. yellow. Pebbly, shingly coarse sand amongst boulders. Banks of flow line in the mouth of a gully in a valley wall.
Scientific Description
Twining or climbing plants. Stems terete, not spiny, hairy; pustules or glands present. Leaves or phylloclades clearly present, compound, alternate, not continuous with stem, 20-60 mm long, hairy, with gland-tipped hairs, flat with flat margins; margins entire; tubercles absent, pinnately arranged, terminal leaflet present, stalked; pustules or glands present. Stipules present and persistent to older leaves, 2.5-4 mm long, without glands, ribless. Pedicel present, 2 mm long, hairy. Bracteoles absent. Calyx 4-5 mm long, not accrescent, hairy, with simple hairs, ribless; pustules or glands present. Corolla 8-9.5 mm long, uniformly coloured, yellow; claws present; standard 7-8.5 mm long, glabrous, auriculate, wings 7-8 mm long, not auriculate, keel 7-8.5 mm long, not beaked, not auriculate, glabrous. Stamens ten; anthers 0.5-0.7 mm long, at two different levels (filaments alternately long and short); filaments united in an open sheath with one free stamen, 6-8 mm long. Ovary sessile or subsessile, hairy or glandular; style 8.5-9 mm long, hairy or glandular towards the base, not bearded, terete. Fruit dehiscent (a pod or follicle), 15-17 mm long, 5-6 mm wide, sessile or subsessile, not constricted between the seeds, flat or compressed, hairy, with simple hairs, not beaked. Flowers in May, July and November. Occurs in the Eremaean Botanical Province, in the Pilbara, Carnarvon and Gascoyne IBRA regions. Conservation Code Priority Four (P4).
