Erect shrub, 0.3-1 m high. Fl. yellow-cream, Aug to Oct. Grey or white sand over laterite, deep sand, clay loam.
Scientific Description
Shrubs, 0.5-1 m high; branchlets glabrous. Leaves alternate, 25-85 mm long, 1-2 mm wide, glabrous; lamina terete or flat, clearly widest above the middle, entire, straight or curved, smooth, apex pungent, 1.5-2 mm long. Inflorescences not viscid, yellow. Perianth 28-30 mm long, hairy, the limb apex hairy all over; pistil 25-30 mm long; pollen presenter not fusiform, hairy, 5.5-6 mm long, the brush 2-3.5 mm long. Cone with persistent scales, 13-15 mm long. Flowers in August, September or October. Occurs in the South-west (SW) Botanical Province(s), in the Geraldton Sandplains (GS), Swan Coastal Plain (SWA) or Avon Wheatbelt (AW) IBRA subregion(s).
