Rambling, spindly, erect herb (with pink stems), to 0.3 m high. Fl. Aug to Sep. Skeletal gritty red-brown soil with rocks and gravel, red alluvial clay loam, cracking clay, sandstone. Along breakaway and scree slopes, drainage lines, ridges, sump areas.
