Scientific Description

Shrub, spines absent; branchlets verrucose (warty), +/- cylindrical in cross-section, glabrous. Leaves alternate, simple, 2-4.5 mm long, 1.5-2 mm wide, flat, the margins revolute, verrucose (warty), glabrous; stipular excrescences absent. Flowers; pedicels 3-4 mm long; calyx present, 2-3 mm long, verrucose (warty), glabrous; corolla white or cream, petals five, 4-5 mm long, imbricate (overlapping), free, lepidote (with scales); stamens twice as many as petals, 5-5.5 mm long, smooth, hairy; anthers 0.8 mm long, with an appendage; style 4 mm long. Flowers in June and August. Occurs in the South-West Botanical Province, in the Mallee IBRA region(s). Conservation Code: Priority One (P1).
