Scientific Description

Habit and structure. Thallus medium to dark green, with a smooth stolon 1–2 mm in diameter, attached by short to long pillars and dense rhizoidal filaments, bearing assimilators to 7cm high, these simple or occasionally branched, bearing ramuli in 3 or more rows, or basally in several rows but distally bilateral. Ramuli flat, constricted at base, mostly linear and slightly curved upwardly, with rounded apiculate tips, 3–6 mm long, to 1.0 mm broad.

Distribution. Known from Tonga, Indonesia, Qld., South Pacific, NWA.

Habitat. Intertidal.
