Erect, tufted annual or perennial, grass-like or herb, to 0.5 m high. Fl. white/cream/green, May or Jul to Aug. Red sand, gravelly red-brown sandy loam, brown silty loam, alluvium, ironstone, basalt. Amongst rocks and boulder outcrops, scree slopes, along creeks, in crevices.
