Decumbent annual, herb, fruit coiled. Fl. yellow, Apr to Jun. Damp alluvial soils. Along creek & rivers, seepages.

Scientific Description

Erect, herb. Stems terete, not spiny, glabrous; pustules or glands absent. Leaves or phylloclades clearly present, compound, alternate, not continuous with stem, 8-10 mm long, hairy, with simple hairs, flat with flat margins; margins entire; tubercles absent, leaflets 4-6, pinnately arranged, terminal leaflet absent; pustules or glands absent. Stipules present and persistent to older leaves, 2.6-4 mm long, without glands, ribbed. Pedicel present, 1-1.5 mm long, glabrous. Bracteoles present and persistent, 1.5-1.8 mm long, hairy, not striate. Calyx 3.2-4 mm long, not accrescent, glabrous, with glandular hairs, ribless; pustules or glands absent. Corolla 4-4.6 mm long, uniformly coloured, yellow; standard 3.5-4 mm long, glabrous, not auriculate, wings 3-4 mm long, not auriculate, keel 3.5-4 mm long, not beaked, not auriculate, glabrous. Stamens; anthers 0.2 mm long, at two different levels (filaments alternately long and short), 2.2-3 mm long. Ovary sessile or subsessile, glabrous; style 3.5-4 mm long, glabrous, not bearded, terete. Fruit 5 mm long, 5 mm wide, sessile or subsessile, glabrous. Flowers in April, May and June. Occurs in the Northern Botanical Province, in the Northern Kimberley IBRA regions.
