Scientific Description

Stems terete, spiny at least in part, hairy; pustules or glands absent. Leaves or phylloclades clearly present, simple, alternate, not continuous with stem, 7.5-9 mm long, 8-9 mm wide, glabrous, flat with flat margins; margins entire; tubercles absent; pustules or glands absent. Stipules present but early deciduous ( only visible on youngest leaves ). Bracteoles present and persistent. Stamens ten. Fruit dehiscent (a pod or follicle), 10-11 mm long, 9-10 mm wide, stipitate, not constricted between the seeds, round in cross-section, hairy, with simple hairs, not beaked. Occurs in the South-West Botanical Province, in the Geraldton Sandplains IBRA regions. Conservation Code Priority One (P1).
