Shrub or tree, 1.5-5(-8) m high. Fl. yellow, Feb or Apr to Aug. Coastal regions, often on the landward side of mangroves or tidal creeks.

Shrub or tree. Stems glabrous or scaly. Leaves 80-205 mm long, 50-140 mm wide, not lobed; margins entire; indumentum presentwith scales; stipules present but early deciduous (only visible on youngest leaves), 35-40 mm long. Perianth clearly of two whorls (calyx and corolla), the corolla obvious and prominent. Pedicel present; indumentum present, with scales. Corolla yellow, 25 mm long, hairs or scales present, scales present. Stamens many. Flowering time February, April, May, June, July or August. Distribution Botanical Province Northern, IBRA Bioregion North Kimberley, Victoria Bonaparte or Dampierland.
