Erect, tufted, ephemeral grass-like or herb, 0.15-0.4 m high, inflorescence to 12 cm long, paniculate,exserted; primary branches whorled. Fl. Feb to Nov. Deep sands, sandstone, sandy ironstone. Rocky hillsides, roadsides.
