Genus Vitex. Habit tree. Height m high 3-12. Stems Ribbing not ribbed, Cross section when young more or less circular, Peltate scales absent. Leaves Position opposite, Bullation not bullate, Division trifoliate, Viscidity not viscid. Length mm long 40-110. Width (entire leaves only) mm wide 20-60. Indumentum Presence absent (leaves glabrous), glands absent. Bract Presence present. Length mm long 2-2.7. Bracteoles Presence absent. Pedicel Presence present, Glands absent. Length mm long 1.5-3.
