Erect perennial, herb or shrub, to 0.7 m high, leaves sessile, fasciculate, spathulate or oblong elliptic. Sandplains.

Scientific Description

Stems unribbed. Leaves flat, 7-10 mm long, 2.5-3.5 mm wide, Indumentum present, with dense, simple hairs; margins toothed. Bracteoles absent. Calyx lobes present, Calyx length 5-6.5 mm long, hairy, with dense, dendritic hairs. Corolla purple or violet, 10-15 mm long, auriculate, not spurred, hairy on the outside, with dense, glabrous on the inside; central lobes 7-8 mm long, with wings; outer lobes 7-10 mm long, wing present on both sides and clearly unequal, 1-1.2 mm wide on the narrower side, 1.8-2 mm wide on the broader side. Anthers connate. Ovary inferior, not gibbose; style 3-5 mm long, glabrous; indusium single, glabrous; ovules one or two. Occurs in the Esperance Plains (ESP) IBRA Region(s), of the South West (SW) Botanical Province. Conservation Code: Conservation code Priority Two (P2).
