Rosetted perennial, herb, 0.12-0.5 m high, Leaves tufted, linear, 4.5-12 cm long, 0.7-3 mm wide, apex subacute, margin entire, scabrous. Membraneous scale leaves present at base of mature leaves. Scape glandular throughout. Inflorescence paniculate. Fl. white/pink/purple, Sep to Nov. Yellow-brown sandy loam or white sand over laterite. Hillslopes and plains. Proteaceous and myrtaceous shrubland, heath.
