Erect or ascending annual, herb, 0.02-0.06(-0.2) m high. Fl. yellow-brown, Aug to Nov. Sand over limestone, sandy clay, clayey loam. Coastal cliffs, granite ridges or outcrops, sub-saline flats, seepage areas.
