Halophila ovata Gaudich. is more recently known as Halophila ovalis (R.Br.) Hook.f.
Reason: See Gaudichaud. Voy.Uranie p.65 and 430 where it is apparent that he is creating a new name base on Caulinia ovalis R.Br.
