Erect, dense, intricately branched, prickly shrub, (0.4-)0.9-3 m high, leaves (3)4-6-foliolate. Fl. yellow, Jul to Nov. Sandy, lateritic or granitic soils. Along creeks & rivers, granite outcrops, stony hillsides.
