Rhizomatous, tufted perennial, herb, 0.2-0.6 m high. Fl. white, Jun to Oct. Sandy or clayey soils, granite, laterite, limestone. Winter-damp sites, fringing creeks, swamps & salt lakes, stony sites, slopes.
