Scientific Description

Shrubs, 2-3 m high; branchlets hairy. Leaves alternate, (20-)25-55 mm long, 1.5-2 mm wide, glabrous; lamina terete, entire. Inflorescences axillary, pink; pedicels 6.5-7.5 mm long. Perianth 7-8 mm long, glabrous; ovary glabrous; pistil 14-15.5 mm long, pollen presenter conical, style glabrous. Follicles 25-31 mm long, 14-18 mm wide, corky tetrahedral projections (on external surfaces of fruit) absent; seed 17 mm long (including wing), 6-8 mm wide, the wing discontinuous, marginal, extending ± unequally down each lateral side. Flowers in September. Occurs in the Eremaean (ER) or South-west (SW) Botanical Province(s), in the Coolgardie (COO), Avon Wheatbelt (AW) or Mallee (MAL) IBRA subregion(s). : Conservation code Priority Three (P3).
