Dioecious rhizomatous, caespitose robust perennial, herb, 0.2-0.6 m high, clumps to 0.2 m wide. Fl. white-cream, Jun to Aug (dependent on rain). Sand, clay, sandy clay, ironstone gravel. Granite outcrops, near salt pans.
