Straggling or slender erect perennial, herb, to 0.4 m high, with long slender lax flowering branches & very small inflorescences. Fl. white-cream, Dec or Jan to Mar. Sandy peaty or clayey soils. Winter-wet flats, fresh, usually permanent swamps.
