Erect to spreading, compact to diffuse perennial, herb or shrub, 0.1-0.4 m high, leaves narrowly ovate, or sometimes narrowly elliptic. Fl. white, Aug to Dec. White/grey sand or sandy soils over limestone, granite or laterite. Coastal areas, sandplains, ridges, ephemeral wetlands.
