Erect, multi-stemmed shrub, 0.1-0.7 m high. Fl. yellow, Oct. Red or yellow sand. Sand dunes, sandplains.
Scientific Description
Erect, shrub, spindly shrub (broom-like). Stems terete, not spiny, hairy; pustules or glands absent. Leaves or phylloclades clearly present, simple, alternate, not continuous with stem, 2.5-4 mm long, 1-2 mm wide, hairy, with simple hairs, flat with flat margins; margins entire; tubercles absent; pustules or glands absent. Stipules apparently absent even from the youngest leaves or present and persistent to older leaves, 6 mm long, without glands, ribless. Pedicel absent (flowers sessile). Bracteoles present and persistent, 4-6 mm long, hairy, not striate. Calyx 6-7 mm long, not accrescent, hairy, with simple hairs, ribless; pustules or glands absent. Corolla 8-9.5 mm long, uniformly coloured, yellow; claws present; standard 8-9.5 mm long, glabrous, not auriculate, wings 7.5-8.5 mm long, not auriculate, keel 7-9 mm long, not beaked, not auriculate, glabrous. Stamens ten; anthers 0.5-0.6 mm long, at two different levels (filaments alternately long and short); filaments free (or united at the very base), 6-7 mm long. Ovary sessile or subsessile, hairy or glandular; style 9-10 mm long, hairy or glandular towards the base, not bearded, terete. Fruit dehiscent (a pod or follicle), sessile or subsessile, not constricted between the seeds, round in cross-section, not beaked. Flowers in October. Occurs in the Eremaean Botanical Province, in the Gascoyne, Murchison, Great Victorian Desert and Coolgardie IBRA regions.
