Scientific Description

Shrubs, 1 m high; branchlets hairy, not glaucous. Leaves alternate, 10-25 mm mm long, hairy, on the abaxial surface, the hairs straight; lamina flat, twice or more divided, pinnately divided, divided to the midrib; lobes 7-15 mm long, 1-1.5 mm wide, the margins revolute, enclosing the lower surface of the leaf blade, forming a groove either side of the midvein. Inflorescences terminal, red or pink; pedicels 10-15 mm long. Perianth 8-15 mm long; tepals fused (at least at base) after flower opens, hairy, glandular-hairy or simple-hairy; ovary hairy, stipitate, the stipe 0.5-1 mm long; pistil 18-22 mm long, red or pink, pollen presenter lateral or oblique, style hairy. Follicles hairy, not viscid, dehiscent, 10-12 mm long. Flowers in January, February, September, October, November or December. Occurs in the Eremaean (ER) Botanical Province(s), in the Coolgardie (COO) IBRA subregion(s). : Conservation code Priority Four (P4).
