Dense shrub, 0.4-1.5 m high. Fl. yellow, Aug to Oct. Yellow or white sand, sandy loam. Plains.

Scientific Description

Shrubs, 0.5-1.5 m high; branchlets hairy, with curled hairs. Leaves alternate, 5-12 mm long, 0.5-0.6 mm wide, hairy; lamina terete, entire, straight or curved, scabrous, apex obtuse, 0.2-0.3 mm long. Inflorescences not viscid, yellow. Perianth 13-15 mm long, hairy, the limb apex hairy all over; pistil 14-16 mm long; pollen presenter not fusiform, hairy, 3.5-4.5 mm long, the brush 2-3 mm long. Cone with persistent scales, 15-20 mm long. Flowers in August, September or October. Occurs in the South-west (SW) Botanical Province(s), in the Avon Wheatbelt (AW) IBRA subregion(s).
