Scientific Description
Erect, shrub, spindly shrub (broom-like). Stems terete, not spiny, hairy; pustules or glands absent. Leaves or phylloclades clearly present, simple, alternate, continuous with stem, 8.5-28 mm long, 1-4 mm wide, hairy, with simple or gland-tipped hairs, flat with flat margins; margins entire; tubercles absent; pustules or glands absent. Stipules present and persistent to older leaves. Pedicel present, 5-6 mm long, hairy. Bracteoles present and persistent, 1.2-1.5 mm long, hairy, not striate. Calyx 4.5-5 mm long, not accrescent, hairy, with simple hairs or with glandular hairs, ribless; pustules or glands absent. Corolla 8.5-9.5 mm long, uniformly coloured, pink, mostly pink or purple, with some pink or purple spots, streaks or blotches; claws absent; standard 8-9 mm long, glabrous, not auriculate, wings 6.7-8 mm long, not auriculate, keel 7-7.2 mm long, not beaked, not auriculate, glabrous. Stamens ten; anthers 0.5-0.6 mm long, at two different levels (filaments alternately long and short); filaments free (or united at the very base), 5.2-6 mm long. Ovary sessile or subsessile, hairy or glandular; style 5-6.5 mm long, hairy or glandular towards the base, not bearded, terete. Fruit dehiscent (a pod or follicle), 20 mm long, 5 mm wide, sessile or subsessile, not constricted between the seeds, round in cross-section, hairy, with simple hairs or with glandular hairs, not beaked. Flowers in January, July and October. Occurs in the Eremaean Botanical Province, in the Central Kimberley IBRA regions. Conservation Code Priority One (P1).
