Shrub, 0.9-3 m high. Fl. white-cream-yellow-orange, Jan to Mar or Aug to Dec. Yellow or grey sand, gravelly loam.
Scientific Description
Shrubs, 1.5-2.5 m high; branchlets hairy, not glaucous. Leaves alternate, 50-150 mm long, 1-2 mm wide, hairy, on the adaxial or abaxial surface, the hairs straight; lamina flat, more or less the same width throughout, entire, the margins flat. Inflorescences axillary or terminal, white, cream or pink; pedicels 2-3 mm long. Perianth 3-4 mm long; tepals all free after flower opens, glabrous; ovary glabrous, stipitate, the stipe 0.5-1 mm long; pistil 5-8 mm long, white or cream, pollen presenter conical, style glabrous. Follicles glabrous, not viscid, dehiscent, 2.5-3(-4) mm long. Flowers in June, July, August, September or October. Occurs in the Eremaean (ER) or South-west (SW) Botanical Province(s), in the Yalgoo (YAL), Coolgardie (COO), Geraldton Sandplains (GS), Swan Coastal Plain (SWA) or Avon Wheatbelt (AW) IBRA subregion(s).
