Tuberous, perennial, herb, to 0.2 m high. Fl. green, Jul to Oct. Grey sandy loam, red loam, red-brown sandy clay, white sand, gravel, limestone, granite, quartz. Slopes, claypans, near saline lakes, winter-wet sites.
