Erect or leaning annual, herb, 0.2-0.6 m high, anthers as long as, or longer than the filaments, sepals bearing stalked glands 0.3-0.5 mm long. Fl. purple/white/yellow, Mar to Jun. Sandy soils. Savannah woodland, river and creek margins, watersheds.
