Erect to spreading, multistemmed perennial, herb or shrub (sub-shrub). Sand. Sand dune swales, sandhills.
Scientific Description
Stems unribbed. Leaves flat, 7-30 mm long, 3-9 mm wide, Indumentum absent (leaves glabrous); margins entire. Bracteoles present, 4.5-6.5 mm long, glabrous. Pedicel pedicellate, Pedicel length the pedicels 1.5-2.5 mm long, glabrous. Calyx lobes present, Calyx length 5-6 mm long, glabrous. Corolla blue or purple, 12-16 mm long, without auricles, not spurred, glabrous on the outside, hairy on the inside; central lobes 5-6 mm long, with wings; outer lobes 10-11 mm long, wings present on both sides, 2.2-2.6 mm wide. Anthers free. Ovary inferior, not gibbose; style 5-10 mm long, hairy; indusium single, hairy; ovules more than two. Flowers in August and September. Occurs in the Little Sandy Desert(LSD) IBRA Region(s), of the Eremaean (E) Botanical Province. Conservation Code: Conservation code Priority Two (P2).
