Slender, erect herb, 0.3-0.45 m high. Fl. blue, Nov to Dec. Gravelly loams, sandy clays. Edge granite outcrop, roadside.

Scientific Description

Stems ribbed. Leaves flat, 15-40 mm long, 1.5-2 mm wide, Indumentum present, with sparse, glandular hairs; margins entire. Bracteoles present, 2-2.5 mm long, hairy, with glandular hairs. Pedicel pedicellate, Pedicel length the pedicels 10-24 mm long, Indumentum present, Hair type with glandular hairs. Calyx lobes present, Calyx length 2-3 mm long, hairy, with sparse, glandular hairs. Corolla blue, 12-17 mm long, auriculate, not spurred, hairy on the outside, with sparse, absent hairs, glabrous on the inside; central lobes 4.5-9.5 mm long, with wings; outer lobes 8-10 mm long, wings present on both sides, 1.8-2.5 mm wide. Anthers free. Ovary inferior, not gibbose; style 6-7 mm long, hairy; indusium single, hairy; ovules more than two. Flowers in November and December. Occurs in the Jarrah Forest (JF) and Warren (WAR) IBRA Region(s), of the South West (SW) Botanical Province. Conservation Code: Conservation code Priority Three (P3).
