Erect, robust shrub (sub-shrub), to 0.6 m high. Fl. blue-white, Jun to Oct. Yellow sand, clay, gravel, laterite. Sandplains.

Scientific Description

Stems ribbed or unribbed. Leaves flat, 4-9 mm long, 1-1.2 mm wide, Indumentum absent (leaves glabrous); margins entire. Bracteoles present, 5-7.5 mm long, glabrous. Pedicel pedicellate, Pedicel length the pedicels 10-20 mm long, glabrous. Calyx lobes present, Calyx length 5-6 mm long, glabrous. Corolla white or blue, 15-21 mm long, without auricles, not spurred, glabrous on the outside, with sparse, hairy on the inside; central lobes 9-10 mm long, with wings; outer lobes 7.5-9 mm long, wing present on both sides and clearly unequal, 2.2-3 mm wide on the narrower side, 2.2 mm wide on the broader side. Anthers free. Ovary inferior, not gibbose; style 7-9 mm long, glabrous; indusium single, hairy; ovules more than two. Flowers in June, July, August, September and October. Occurs in the Avon Wheatbelt (AW) IBRA Region(s), of the South West (SW) Botanical Province. Conservation Code: Conservation code Priority Three (P3).
