Erect, open shrub, to 2 m high, bark coarse, fibrous. Fl. pink-purple, Aug to Dec. Brown-yellow-grey sand, white sandy clay, peaty sand, laterite, limestone. Seasonal wetlands, sandplains, valley flats, swamps.
