Tuberous, perennial, herb, to 0.35 m high. Fl. blue-purple, Sep to Dec. Yellow, white or grey sand, peaty loam, brown loam, brown sandy clay, granite, quartzite, laterite. Winter-wet flats, slopes, creeklines, sandy edges of swamps.
